## What Crucible does [#what-crucible-does]

AI can write more software than ever. Crucible takes that software from prototype to production by provisioning secure, scalable infrastructure and enterprise-grade tooling into every project from the start. What an agent generates becomes something you can run a business on.

## How it fits together [#how-it-fits-together]

Everything in Crucible hangs off one object: the **project**. A project is one product, with one repository, one team, and one set of environments. Inside it you do two things: you **build** in a workspace, and you **ship** through a deployment. A pull request carries each change from build to ship, and Crucible provisions the capabilities below across both.

Crucible also provisions the capabilities a production project needs, so you do not wire them in yourself:

* **[LLM Gateway](/llm-gateway/)**: Managed model access, with a separate key for each runtime.
* **[Observability](/observability/)**: Error tracking and product analytics for full deployments, in your organization's Sentry and PostHog accounts.
